Skye Riley: [smiles at subject] out of control, me!. "Smile 2" is a good movie that manages to tell a solid story of horror and suspense without being a masterpiece.
The makeup effects are realistic and gory
Its predecessor "Smile" is an overrated movie, but this sequel improves on many aspects of the script. The cinematography is good, especially in those pop atmospheric scenes.
The soundtrack is somber and heightens the tension in several scenes
The performances are good, with highlights from Naomi Scott and Kyle Gallner. Director Parker Finn shows maturity in his cinematic style, clearly outdoing himself.
"Smile 2" is one of those sequels that surpasses the first film
It is worth noting that the scene where Sky’s apartment is invaded by devilishly smiling characters will become an iconic scene in horror films.
