Edited by CollegeHumor Originals: Breaking Bad/Walking Dead Mash-Up (2013)
Dead fingers speak while working in a nuclear-free city. ‘Breaking Bad’ is one of the highest-rated shows on IMDb, is one of those rare shows where every season has either been very positively received or almost universally acclaimed by critics, and all my friends have had nothing but great things to say about it. Very few shows have captivated me so much from the start that I’ve watched the entire show before the week is over, especially with so many shows these days that it can be very difficult to watch a single episode. ‘Breaking Bad’ had such an impact on me, and its reputation as one of the best, most consistently awesome, and most addictive shows of recent years (maybe even ever) is more than well-deserved in my eyes. Its weakest season is probably the first, which is understandable, because in the first season of any show, things are still being worked out. It’s all incredibly well-rounded from the start, really, but as the writing and characterization get more sophisticated, the show reaches even higher levels visually. It’s one of those stylish and beautiful shows with cinematography and editing that puts a lot of modern films to shame, with cinematography and editing that are visually beautiful but also painfully amateurish.
The direction couldn’t be better
The music always has the right mood, never too intrusive, never too subdued. The writing on Breaking Bad; is a prime example of all shows that have a lot of style but also a lot of substance. The dialogue is thought-provoking and tense, with a darkly wicked sense of humor and heartbreaking pathos. The stories are richly textured, intimate, tense, and multi-layered, and their pacing is consistently thoughtful but tense. I can’t say anything bad about the acting.
