Plot
Parthenope is a woman named after her city. In Greek myth, Parthenope is a mermaid who committed suicide after failing to charm Odysseus.
In the film, Parthenope is the personification of the city of Naples

They tried to fit 500 things into this girl’s life, but it just doesn’t make sense
I’ve never seen such a combination of random scenes, it’s a long hodgepodge of random things happening, some really random, for no reason and with no consequences. For the first hour, the main character acts like any 16 year old girl on Tumblr who wants to be mysterious, just throwing out groups of high pitched words to seem intellectual.
The ending is the best part and gives a partial sense of fulfillment to an otherwise ambiguous film
There are a lot of changes between scenes when a question is asked, which at first might give the film an “artistic” feel, but after the fifth time it becomes annoying. Some characters just jump into the film and then disappear for no apparent reason, too much is left unsaid and unexplained.
