Where do I start?
Plot
Two scientists try to stop a mutation that is turning people into werewolves after they were touched by a supermoon the previous year. Title “Year 2” confused some people who thought this was a sequel. However, the title refers to the year (the second year) after the event that led to people turning into werewolves.
This has nothing to do with the Purge sequels, it’s more on the werewolf side
Was it nostalgia for the 1980s horror craze or the perfect casting of this Grillo guy? I’ve seen Grillo in a few Bruce Willis movies and in a popular TV series called Tulsa King. I went for 80s style werewolf horror movies like “The American WEREWOLF in London” and the 90s action horror movies.
The movie delivered that chilling WEREWOLF
This one had some plot holes, but it was still fun. For fans of werewolves, practical effects, and action horror, this film is worth at least a look. Overall, between twists and action scenes, Werewolf is extremely fun.
So shut up
Consider a supporting cast with three notable female characters (Katrina Law, Kamdynn Gary, Ilfenesh Hadera) who also get in on the action. You don’t find that in an ’80s horror ride, but it’s a refreshing element here, even if these characters aren’t particularly detailed. Werewolves is a thoroughly sophisticated and pulse-pounding experience.
